It contains first hand experiences of Travellers and would provide an excellent resource for schools wishing to explore other cultures and issues such as bullying and discrimination. National Literacy trust- Read On The National Literacy Trust are running a national reading campaign 'Read On'. All the staff within the Complementary Education are supporting this with projects across the service to support our pupils. Click on the image to find out more.
 The BBC has launched its Broadband 'Digital Curriculum'. This service will complement the on-line support that we offer our young people. When the BBC launches its new service, this link will take you there.
Our pupils have the use of a PC/laptop which enables them to access curriculum materials at times convenient to themselves and to remain in contact with their tutors & peers via e-mail and videoconferencing.
A Distance Learning section provides links to password protected learning materials and to support agencies.
Pupils with numeracy & literacy needs are offered an ICT based learning system, a package which used extensively in Sefton’s mainstream schools.
Pupils also benefit from extending their tutor contact time by loaning videotapes / DVD’s of staff teaching key elements of their courses. We also have a range of facilities at our base including careers software to help Year Eleven pupils.
